Winter Holidays Closing Schedule (2017-2018)

Offices closing early December 21, 2017

All of our offices will close at 3 p.m. on Thursday, December 21.

Offices closed December 25 and 26, 2017

All of our offices will be closed Monday, December 25 and Tuesday, December 26.
They will re-open at 7 a.m. Wednesday, December 27.

Offices closed January 1, 2018

All of our offices will be closed Monday, January 1.
They will re-open at 7 a.m. Tuesday, January 2.

Co-op employees support 2017 Toys for Tots campaign

Valley Rural Electric Cooperative employees pitched in again this year to put together a collection of toys, games and other cool stuff for Toys for Tots of Huntingdon County. Employee donations were brought to the corporate office and to the Huntingdon district office. A big "thank you" to all who supported the toy drive.

Safe on the bus

On an April morning in 2016, Clint Shults was driving a school bus to take students to an FFA competition in Rangely, Colorado. The team’s horse judging coach, Silvia Otabachian-Smith, followed the bus in her car. Heavy, wet snow had been accumulating, and the bus snagged a power line just as it was falling to the ground under the weight of the snow.
